After memorable Show-Me 100, Lucas Oil Speedway takes this week off before resuming with dirt-track, drag-boat action

WHEATLAND, MO. (June 1, 2021) - With a memorable edition of the Show-Me 100 in the books, Lucas Oil Speedway will remain quiet this weekend before resuming a busy and diversified month of June starting next weekend.

“We want to thank all our fans who came out to support the Show-Me 100,” Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Danny Lorton said. “It was a challenging first part of the weekend with the weather conditions, but Saturday was a fantastic show. Now, after we take this week off, it’s going to be a fun month of June.”

Action resumes on June 12 with midseason champions crowned in each of the four divisions of the Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series. The Bolivar Herald-Free Press along with KTTS Presents the Midseason Championships with the O'Reilly Auto Parts USRA Stock Cars running a special 25-lap, $750-to-win feature.

In the USRA Stock Car class, Lucas Oil Speedway and Dallas County Speedway will combine to pay a $250 bonus to any driver who can win both Friday night at Dallas County Speedway in Urbana and at Lucas Oil Speedway on Saturday. Each track is putting up $125 bonus if a driver can double down.

This weekly bonus is in effect for the remainder of the season.

"We hope the USRA Stock Car drivers will take advantage of this opportunity to make some extra money and help make the USRA Stock Car division a success," Lorton said.

Points leaders entering Midseason Championship are Cole Henson (Missouri Metal Buildings ULMA Late Models), Dillon McCowan (Cedar Creek Beef Jerky USRA Modifieds), Kris Jackson (Ozark Golf Cars USRA B-Mods) and David Hendrix (O’Reilly Auto Parts USRA Stock Cars).

Meanwhile, the Kentucky Drag Boat Association returns to Lake Lucas on June 12 and 13 for the KDBA Summer Thunder on Lake Lucas. Saturday boat-race tickets include free admission to the dirt track that evening.

Other events coming up at the speedway in June include:

June 19: iHeartMedia presents Round 8 of the Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series. The Cedar Creek Beef Jerky USRA Modifieds will be the evening’s featured class with a 25-lap, $1,000-to-win main event. Pure Stocks are a special guest class, running for $300 to win.

June 25-26: The Lucas Oil Pro Bull Riding Invitational Presented by ProtecttheHarvest.com returns for two nights on action at the dirt track with award winning bulls and champion bull riders from the Amped Up Pro Bull Tour. Action will begin at 7:30 p.m. both nights.

Also on June 26 during the morning and afternoon, the off road track swings into action as the Kansas City Off Road Racing Association makes its first of two appearances this summer.
