Drag boats return to Lake Lucas for KDBA Show-Me Shootout Presented by Lucas Oil this weekend

By Lyndal Scranton (Wheatland, MO) -- Drag boat racing returns to Lucas Oil Speedway this weekend for the second time in 2020. The Kentucky Drag Boat Association Show-Me Shootout Presented by Lucas Oil is scheduled for qualifying rounds on Saturday and eliminations Sunday on Lake Lucas.

"We're looking forward to welcoming the KDBA back for a big weekend after a good opening event back in June," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Danny Lorton said. "Fans can make it a full day and night by taking in both the drag boats and dirt-track action on Saturday as well."

Action is set to begin with sportsman qualifying at 9 a.m. Saturday with the first pro qualifying session set for 10:30 a.m. Afternoon rounds are set for 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Eliminations are tentatively set to begin at 9 a.m. Sunday.

KY3 Digital and O-Zone Present Fan Appreciation Night with food and drink specials, including $1 nachos and cheese, $2 hot dogs and $2 soft drinks and water.

Classes in action on the dirt track will be the Warsaw Auto Marine & RV ULMA Late Models, the Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds, O'Reilly Auto Parts Street Stocks and the Ozark Golf Cars USRA B-Mods. The USRA Modifieds will run a 25-lap, $1,000-to-win main event. The Show-Me Vintage Racing Club Cars will be a guest class, with several of their cars on display on the midway prior to the event.
