Lucas Oil Speedway's Job Fair scheduled for this Saturday at main office building

By Lyndal Scranton (Wheatland, MO) -- Lucas Oil Speedway's annual Job Fair is coming up this Saturday, February 29, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the speedway's main office located just outside of the pit-area entrance.

Seasonal, part-time position openings are in concessions, the gift shop, bar, pit and ticket offices, along with public security, go-kart track attendants, facility clean-up crews and general labor. A grounds keeping position also is available with emphasis on mowing during weekdays.

The speedway also is seeking one or two people to work the new WR1 Sims simulator booth. Applicants need to have knowledge of computer gaming with iRacing skills especially beneficial helpful, along with good communication skills and interacting with the public.

Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Danny Lorton said he's also looking for someone to work the Frog's Signs Jr. Fan Club midway booth during some events. That person must be personable with an ability to interact with children.

"We are going to be incorporating additional driver and fan interaction this year and we're looking to do that through the Frog's Signs Jr. Fan Club," Lorton said.

Some positions have age requirements. Experience is preferred for cooks and cashiers in concessions, retail sales workers in the gift shop and bartenders. Experience in law enforcement or security is sought for the public security positions.

"We welcome area residents who are interested in being a part of our Lucas Oil Speedway team to come out this Saturday and explore the various job opportunities," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Danny Lorton said.

Applicants must bring two forms of identification to the Job Fair and at least one must be a photo ID, such as a driver's license.

The Lucas Oil Speedway season kicks off with the Open Test and Tune on March 28, with the Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series opening night set for April 4 with action in all four divisions - Pitts Homes USRA Modified, Ozark Golf Cars USRA B-Mods, Warsaw Auto Marine & RV ULMA Late Models and O'Reilly Auto Parts Street Stocks.
