Lucas Oil Pro Pulling Nationals crown two champs on Night One with conclusion Saturday night at Lucas Oil Speedway

By Lyndal Scranton (Wheatland, MO) -- The Lucas Oil Pro Pulling Nationals got underway Friday night at Lucas Oil Speedway, with Justin Wagler making it a repeat championship in the Limited Pro Stock division of the Champion Tour.

Wagler of Morgantown, Indiana, celebrated bot the season title in style, scoring a victory win in Real Deere, pulling 321.75 feet - more than eight feet better than runner-up Farmer's Dream.

"It's been another great year," Wagler said. "First and foremost, I want to thank the good Lord for letting us do this, to live in the greatest country in the world to be able to come and play like this. I want to thank all the people who helped put this tractor together."

Terry Blackbourn in Armed and Dangerous Excessive Force used a second-place finish to earn the Champion Tour ARP Light Weight Super Stock Championship. Blackbourn, of Newton, Wisconsin, had a pull of 308.83 as Field Sobriety driven by Bobby Jones prevailed at 312.39.

Action concludes on Saturday night as the Champion Tour competes with Super Modified Tractors, Unlimited Super Stock Tractors, Super Farm Tractors, OPTIMA Batteries Super Modified 2WD Trucks, Pro Modified 4WD Trucks and FASS Pro Stock Tractors. Gates open at 4 p.m. both days with pulling set to begin at 7 p.m.

In the other divisions competing on Friday:

High Class Hooker driven by Phil Rauch took the win with a pull of 324.04 feet. Hillbilly Bone was second at 323.5.

Abbey Leischner, driving for the first time since last year's Pro Pulling Nationals, scored a repeat in the Mini-Rod Tractors. Leischner, of Weldon, Illinois, piloted points-leading Bob Cat Jr. to the win in the Mini-Rods with a pull off 346.75 feet. One event remains in the class this season.
