Looking to beat the heat? Air-conditioned suites available at Lucas Oil Speedway
By Lyndal Scranton (Wheatland, MO) -- Summer has arrived in full force, with heat advisories and excessive heat warnings in effect for much of the central part of the country this weekend. But race fans have an option to beat the heat while taking in a great night of racing at Lucas Oil Speedway.
There is availability to watch this Saturday's Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series program in the air-conditioned comfort from inside one of the 21 luxury suites on the second and third floors of the main grandstand.
"The suites are a great way to experience a night at Lucas Oil Speedway any time of the year, but if someone has never tried them I can't think of a better time to try it out than this weekend," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Danny Lorton said.
Suites at Lucas Oil Speedway are in various sizes on the second and third levels of the main grandstand. They seat 12, 14, 18, 27 or 36 guests and all include cable television, indoor seating with air conditioning, outdoor seating, a complimentary tray of food and two free six packs of Coca-Cola products or adult beverages.
Prices for the suites during weekly races are $300 (12 seats), $350 (14 seats), $450 (18 seats), $675 (27 seats) and $875 (36 seats). Special events, such as the Aug. 3 USMTS Slick Mist Show-Me Shootout Presented by Foley Equipment, are a bit higher.

Action at Lucas Oil Speedway in the Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series continues on Saturday night. It will be Military and Veterans Appreciation Night with all active or retired military members admitted free with ID. The Ozark Golf Cars USRA B-Mods will the featured class with a 25-lap, $750-to-win main event.
Gates open at 4 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 and racing at 7:05. Special attractions on the midway will be the GEICO Military race car and the Old Wheels Car Club/Callaway Cruisers.
