Pure Stocks added as guest class for Aug. 17 program at Lucas Oil Speedway

WHEATLAND, Missouri - Lucas Oil Speedway is adding the Pure Stocks division - which runs at several tracks in south-central and southwest Missouri - as a guest class to the August 17 Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series program.

"We've had some inquiries from some Pure Stock drivers about running as a guest class and feel this will be a great opportunity for them," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Danny Lorton said. "It's a fun class to watch and I think our fans will enjoy them."

Lorton added that the Pure Stocks will run off track rules used at Lake Ozark Speedway, which will not be running the division that night. The Pure Stock drivers won't have to pay any type of track registration fee or entry fee, just for pit passes.

The payout for the Pure Stocks will be: 1st - $300; 2nd - $200; 3rd - $150; 4th - $125. 5th - $100; 6th - $90. 7th - $85; 8th - $80; 9th - $75; 10th - $70; 11th - $65; 12th - $60; 13th - $55. 14th - $50; 15th through 24th - $40.

The CW Ozarks & Ozarks Sports Zone will present the action, which will include a 25-lap, $1,000-to-win Pitts Homes USRA Modified feature. Also in action will be the O'Reilly Auto Parts Street Stocks, Ozark Golf Cars USRA B-Mods and Warsaw Auto Marine & RV ULMA Late Models.

The Show-Me Vintage Racing Club will return that night and put on a vintage exhibition race as well.

Military and Veterans Night this Saturday: Action at Lucas Oil Speedway in the Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series continues on Saturday night. It will be Military and Veterans Appreciation Night with all active or retired military members admitted free with ID. The Ozark Golf Cars USRA B-Mods will the featured class with a 25-lap, $750-to-win main event.

Gates open at 4 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 and racing at 7:05. Special attractions on the midway will be the GEICO Military race car and the Old Wheels Car Club/Callaway Cruisers.
