Lucas Oil Speedway season resumes on Saturday with $uper $aver $pecial

By Lyndal Scranton (Wheatland, MO) -- With beautiful spring-time weather in the forecast, racing at Lucas Oil Speedway resumes on Saturday with Show No. 2 of the Big Adventure Weekly Racing Series, highlighting the Ozark Golf Cars USRA B-Mods.

Fans can save big on $uper $saver $pecial Night Presented by OnMedia/DISH/DirecTV. Spectators arriving before 5:30 p.m. will receive four admissions, four hot dogs and four 20-ounce Coca-Cola products for $30. Gates open at 4 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 and racing at 7:05.

Fans through the gates will receive a FREE 2019 schedule magnet, courtesy of City Magnet, while supplies last.

"After last weekend's rainout, I know everyone is eager to get back to racing," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Danny Lorton said. "We look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday as we get the season going again and we encourage the fans to come out early and enjoy the Super Saver Special."

The Ozark Golf Cars USRA B-Mods will run a special 25-lap, $750-to-win feature. The Warsaw Auto Marine & RV ULMA Late Models, Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds and O'Reilly Auto Parts Street Stocks also are on the schedule.

Defending Lucas Oil Speedway track champion JC Morton of Springfield will be looking for his second straight B-Mod feature win, after taking the checkered flag on opening night, April 6. Another reigning track champion, Johnny Fennewald of Appleton City, also prevailed in the opener in the ULMA Late Model division.

In the USRA Modifieds, Jon Sheets of Nevada beat defending track and USRA National Champion Darron Fuqua for opening-night feature honors. Toby Ott of Wheatland will be looking to make it back-to-back wins in the Street Stocks after holding off David Hendrix.

Adults (16 and over) - $12
Seniors (62 and over)/Military - $9
Youth (ages 6-15) - $5
Kids (5 and under) - FREE
Family pass - $30
Pit pass - $30

The Go-Kart Slick Track is temporarily closed for improvements to the track. Those purchasing a Family Pass will receive a kids' concession meal in exchange for the go-kart ride.
