Tickets on sale for Lucas Oil Speedway postseason awards banquet, set for Nov. 3 at Old Kinderhook

By Lyndal Scranton (Wheatland, MO) -- The top 10 drivers in each of the four Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series divisions will be honored at the annual Lucas Oil Speedway postseason awards banquet, Nov. 3 at The Lodge at Old Kinderhook in Camdenton.

Tickets for the event are $40 and are on sale by sending an RSVP by Oct. 26 to Lucas Oil Speedway Admissions Director Nichole McMillan at (417) 282-5984 or by email at nichole@lucasoilspeedway.com. Fans are welcomed to attend, with a social hour at 6 p.m. with invocation, dinner and the awards to follow starting at 7.

"This is always a fun and festive way to celebrate our season and honor our track champions, along with all members of our top 10 in the respective classes," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Dan Robinson said.

Awards also will be presented for Most Popular Driver, Best Appearing Race Car and the Forrest Lucas Lifetime Achievement Award. The Most Popular Driver Award will again be selected in online fan voting at a link to be released soon via the Lucas Oil Speedway social media platforms.

Pro Pulling Nationals this weekend: The Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Nationals are Friday and Saturday nights at Lucas Oil Speedway, as the infield in front of the main grandstand is transformed into a pulling area for the powerhouse machines. Gates open at 4 p.m. both days with pulling set to begin at 7 p.m.

Fans also are reminded that it's just one more week until the 8th annual ASCS Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin Memorial for Lucas Oil ASCS Sprints and WAR Sprints. A $10,000 pay day awaits the ASCS Sprints feature winner on night three.

Other remaining events at Lucas Oil Speedway in 2018:

Oct. 4-6 - 5th annual Big Buck 50 Presented by Whitetail Trophy Hunt, with ULMA Late Models also in action. The Street Stocks will race for $10,000 to win on the final night and ULMA Late Models with features paying $1,000 and $2,000 on Friday and Saturday.

Oct. 12-13 - 5th annual Lucas Oil MLRA Fall Nationals plus the Inaugural B-Mod Clash of Champions. The B-Mods get a shot in the spotlight, with a $3,000-to-win final-night feature. Meanwhile, an MLRA season champion will be crowned with full programs on both nights for the Late Models.

Oct. 20 - Monster Truck Nationals Eve of Destruction will see over 60,000 pounds of Monster Truck Thunder on display with the big machines crushes cars and racing side by side and in wheelie shootouts.
