Each of four Weekly Racing Series points leaders at midseason to receive $500 bonus award
By Lyndal Scranton (Wheatland, MO) -- Drivers in Lucas Oil Speedway's Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series again will be chasing extra money at the season's midpoint.
For the second straight year, Victory Lane Track Action Race Review magazine, which is distributed free to fans each week at the speedway, will contribute $1,000 toward a bonus for Midseason Track Champions in each of the four weekly divisions.
Lucas Oil Speedway management also will again match the "Geared Up Program" contribution with another $1,000. The total of $2,000 will be split among the points leaders in the Warsaw Auto Marine & RV ULMA Late Models, Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds, Big O Tires Street Stocks and Ozark Golf Cars USRA B-Mods following the Midseason Championship program on June 16.
"The Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series is a big part of the racing passion for us," Victory Lane Track Action Race Review publisher Debra M. Filkins said. "It is a privilege to encourage and support the racing teams. Victory Lane is thankful for our sponsors, our staff Danielle Miller and Jade Morris, the drivers and fans.

Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Dan Robinson said that Filkins' Victory Lane publication has become popular for fans entering the grandstands each week. The free publication recaps the previous week's action and includes feature stories on drivers plus previews of upcoming events along with results and points standings.
"We're happy to partner with Debra and Victory Lane to give our drivers a nice bonus to shoot for at our Midseason Championships, with $500 to each of the four leaders," Robinson said. "We appreciate what Debra and her staff does and look forward to partnering with Victory Lane again in 2018."
The Lucas Oil Speedway season begins April 7 with the Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series opener. An open test and tune is scheduled for March 31.

Lucas Oil Speedway is located at Highways 83 and 54 in Wheatland, Missouri. A campground with shower and bathroom facilities is also available.
