Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League coming to Lucas Oil Speedway Sept 15-16

By Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, MO) -- After a busy Labor Day Weekend with big crowds at both the dirt track for the Larry Phillips Memorial and Lake Lucas for the Diamond Drag Boat Nationals, Lucas Oil Speedway will remain quiet this weekend.

But the noise and power returns in a big way Sept. 15-16 with two big nights of the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling Nationals.

"What a tremendous Labor Day Weekend it was, but now the anticipation is quickly building for one of the largest truck and tractor pulls in the country, right here in Wheatland," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Dan Robinson said. "Two nights means twice the opportunity for our fans, who always turn out in force for this big show.

"This will be one of those events where we would encourage fans to get your tickets in advance. It's always an impressive program and this year promises to be more of the same."

For ticket information, contact admissions director Nichole McMillan at (417) 282-5984 or via email at nichole@LucasOilSpeedway.com. Tickets also can be puchased online at https://www.showclix.com/events/8559.

This is set to be the first time for back-to-back nights for the Lucas Pro Pulling League in Wheatland. Last year was the first time that the event was scheduled for two nights, but night one was rained out.

The infield in front of the main grandstand will be converted into a pulling area for the powerful pullers to display their impressive strength.

The first night on Friday, Sept. 15 will find the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling classes in action including the Lightweight Super Stock Tractors, Super Stock Diesel Trucks, Limited Pro Stock Tractors and 2.6 Diesel Trucks.

Then on Saturday night it's the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Champions' Tour for its only appearance of 2017 at the speedway. Classes in action include the E3 Spark Plugs Super Modified Tractors, Unlimited Super Stock Tractors, SPEEDCO Modified 4WD Trucks, Optima Batteries Super Modified 2WD Trucks, Protect the Harvest Pro Stock Tractors and Super Farm Tractors.

Gates will open at 5 p.m. both days with pulling getting underway at 7.
